I love culinary adventures, and sometimes (but more often recently) I take some photos of them. When I saw this challenge, I wanna share it to you all, particularly Indonesian cuisine at least some of them. As Indonesian food is various depend on the region as well as external influences, but the typical one is tend to be spicy which sometimes cannot be accepted particularly by Westerners.
Here are my photo compilation between 2010-nowadays
Sate Jamur (Mushroom satay) from Wonosobo, Central Java
Sapeun Talas Bogor (Bogorese cooked taro) enjoyed with shredded coconut, cheese or honeyed coconut
Eat it hot
Lunpia Semarang (Semarangese spring roll). The difference is..it has got combination filling between chicken, shrimp, egg and bamboo shoot (rebung) and all make this lunpia different besides its sweetness as Javanese influence
Laksa Tangerang (found in Tangerang city, Banten)
Mie Ongklok of Wonosobo, sweet but umami
Rujak bebeg (Mashed rojak), hot, fresh and sweet.
Tumis jagung buncis ala Manado (Manado styled sauteed corn and long beans)
That’s my today’s dinner : Mie Aceh (Acehnese styled spicy noodles)
Have a nice Thursday!
